Your thoughts on the new video board and sound system

Video was a 10.
Audio on Songs like Crazy Train, Living on a Prayer, and Sweet Caroline was a 9.
Audio from the announcer was a 6.
Something was not set up correctly on it in my opinion,

It did not seem like they were using any of the old speakers in the old audio system?
I wonder if they will at some point.

I agree. We need something new. Actually, I sometimes feel insulted that they think we need a reminder when we need to make noise and be loud. I think we are a fan base with enough knowledge to know when this needs to be done. I couldn't hear anything the ref was saying when he was explaining calls. Video board was fantastic though.

The old board is, of course, not HD capable. It would be using the same video feed as the big board. I think it's just the worst it's ever looked because you can see the massive HD board and the video showing on it at the other end of the field.

I couldn't understand what any of the refs were saying at all, along with what half of anyone was saying. They need to fix that.

Sweet Caroline was sweet walking out of the stadium. If you set in the south endzone the video is a 10, my neck feels so much better today.

Man that old board looks like a giant turd then. I sit next to it in the endzone and I swear it looked better than it did last night. But you are probably right. I did catch myself watching the new board several times instead of live action last night.

The new board is awesome. It's amazing to see the difference between the two. Only potential problem I saw was that in the minute or two the sun was actually out you couldn't see a thing on the board. I'm interested to see how it looks next Saturday if it's a bright and sunny day.

I was disappointed by the sound system. It's better than the old one, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Hopefully those issues are something they can fix by adjusting some settings and getting more used to using it.

It did. People on the screen used to resemble people. It has to have something to do with a signal that the old board just isn't wired to handle. It used to be effective.

I bet they had the brightness turned down a bit since it was so cloudy. Usually there is a night and day mode on those scoreboards that adjust the brightness. Maybe that is why it was hard to see at times.

Sound - 9.5 Parked out at the Christian School and could hear it
super clear when we had to take the kid home.

Sound technician - 2 Should have had a lot more tweaked b4 "GO" date.
Maybe make it a 4 or 5 because testing might have
required a permit to avoid disturbing the peace. The
whole town must have been able to hear the game.

The sound system surprised me. I was under the impression there would be stereo surround of some sort in the stadium, but the sound only came from the video board.

Overall the sound system was a drastic improvement than before. Certainly an upgrade to be pleased with.

Except that is going to take some getting used to for the residents. Over the new sound system I bet there were a few squak fans sitting home thinking they better turn on the weather station. I'm sure someone will make a stink cause I'm sure you can hear that out to about the mall at the other end of town.
