For those who have a G7 pass, how long does it generally take to get out of the lot if you stay for the whole game? I need to get the family to a late afternoon wedding in north central Iowa this weekend. Since I plan on getting to Ames around 6AM, I'm thinking about parking on the street to speed up the exit process.
Although, the people in charge of parking were stacking cars so close that you had to luck out by having people around you leave to get going right away.
Apparently half a car length between rows is plenty of room to tailgate and then back out after the game.

Thanks for the help.
The key is to go north on University. Follow it around to Stange north of campus, turn right, go a few blocks and turn right on 13th. Follow 13th to I-35. Almost all the traffic leaving the stadium is heading south on University and Duff to load onto US-30.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to head south on I35 to pick up the kids (babysitter for the game) before heading back north, but 13th is probably still the best option.
Anyone else have an opinion on a quick exit strategy? Would parking in the street near greekville be quicker than G7?
To speed it up a little more when you are going north on University turn right onto Haber Rd. it's right after Cyride which will be on your left there will be a one lane bridge under the railroad keep going straight it will be a t intersection at 13th street go right and resume the rest of the directions. Usually saves several minutes as there is only one stop light and one stop sign instead of five stop lights.
If you can get close enough and get out there fast enough the residential streets directly west of the stadium are pretty quick.
I park in the driveway of a house on Gaskill Road between Friley and McCarthy a block off of Beach. very easy to zip out multiple ways. $10 to park. kid is probably about 12, making a killing off his parents second drive way

Thanks for the heads-up, but you probably should have kept that gem to yourself.
