Indeed, read through that whole conversation a bit ago...

For a quick review, a guy for the Humboldt Independent (newspaper) showed up to the press box wearing a Hawkeye jersey. Of course the press box is supposed to be a neutral area with no cheering, etc. There were quite a few other press guys having some fun at his expense via twitter using the #pressboxjersey hashtag.

Just as an observer, I can't stop laughing at the guy.

As a journalism student who hopes to be in that press box someday soon, I can't stop shaking my head at his lack of knowledge and professionalism.

What an idiot! Not for the jersey, but just look at that stupid blue hat he's wearing.

EVERYONE knows that when you're rocking your Hawkeye jersey in the Jack Trice Stadium pressbox you're supposed to top off the outfit with a giant foam ear of corn, not a freakin' Cubs hat. Amateur.

The Humboldt Independent does have a website and e-mail address. I guess they probably have the e-mail address in case someone wishes to contact them, maybe because they have some feedback or something.

Looked it up for ***** and giggles. The closet BWW to Humboldt is Mason City at 56 miles. The BWW in Ames is a whole 57 miles from Humboldt.

Ah the Humboldt Independent- You know how you can tell its a small time paper? If you get a speeding ticket in Humboldt County your name appears in its margins. Great for nosy neighbors and relatives to keep up on your driving habits.
