Re: Cyclone Club
It does help with seat improvement, but longevity of giving and buying tickets counts as well....Your yearly donation is only good for its impact in the yr you give while length of time you have donated and the number of and variety of ticket purchases just keep increasing your overall point total the most. The national cyclone club can explain better how the point system works but longevity is the key.

Growing your point total over time gets you even better seats when they come available thru donor death, income drops, and just plain dropping of season tickets.
Start now and build for the future, but remember every success we have, and I greatly hope we are at the edge of breaking thru in both FB & MBB, that fewer better seats will be given up or the bidding will get higher for any available better seats.
Gold level ($1,000) gets you better parking and free attendance at all ISU olympic sports wrestling, soccer, volleyball, etc for 2. Look at the Natrional Cyclone Club membership perks brochure.

Yeah, I started describing the cumulative effect of donating and buying tickets, but when I reread it before posting it was a massive failure so I cut it. Basically the points are like compounding interest. Even if you can only contribute a little bit now and buy tickets to a single sport, it will pay dividends down the road if/when you decide to upgrade your seats.
Just call the NCC, they will be happy to explain it all to you.
Another thought - my family splits the cost of donation and football tickets with my parents. Obviously we only go to half the games that way, but it's easier for us to afford. I also use my employer's gift matching program (they match 80% of the donation).
You can spend a lot of time and money picking out the perfect floral bouquet for your date ... but you're probably better off checking if you have bad breath and taking the porn out of the glove compartment.
The moral: you gain more by not being stupid, than you do by being smart. Smart gets neutralized by other smart people. Stupid does not.
