How much progress does everyone think we can make on the little, stupid mistakes like penalties, bad snaps, etc. that have held us back a little these first two weeks before Friday? It would be very exciting if we went out and played a clean game on Friday and used the national platform to really show what this offense can do.
They did do better by not committing any of the unsportsmanlike personal fouls like in the first game, so that's good. But still too many costly penalties in key moments (12 men on the field are you kidding me!?!)
I think KO is probably one of the best lineman in the country but I saw him get away with a few holds.
I always wondered why the NFL scouts had him at guard and not tackle but I see why now. The guy is a monster but needs to cut back on holding on those outside runs.
Steele and Shontrelle each gave up points on fumbles. That can't happen.
Did Steele have a fumble other than on that first drive? From where I was sitting that looked like a flat-out bad snap and I didn't really think that was his fault.

The ball was chest level and hit him in the hands.
I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system.
I think we can and will clean up the fumbles and penalties as quickly as this week. The field goal kicking though......looks to be a very shaky situation.

Two red-zone fumbles spoiled drives; first one could have been a killer because Iowa was still up 10-0 and could've probably sealed it with another TD drive. Second fumble negated when Iowa fumbled it right back.
A holding penalty that wiped out a touchdown pass (although I think ISU scored on that drive anyway(?))
But I was pleased that we didn't see a lot of delay-of-game, false-start, late-hit -- mental error penalties, especially of the momentum-killer variety.

Not letting Jantz on the hook for the fumble, but that snap was way too hard. Jantz probably should have handled it, but it looked like Farniok shot that one out of a cannon.
