Re: Honor Before Victory tattoo?
My advice for tattoos is get whatever you want, just make sure it actually means something to you. I have three and they all mean different things to me. They're also in non-flashy locations where they're always out. In fact, most peopke don't even know I have tattoos, because they're meant for me, not for others.
As for "Honor before Victory", it's a saying that doesn't really just have to be about sports. You can really relate the phrase to many aspects of life.

Re: Honor Before Victory tattoo?
If you want it get. I have one on my shoulder that is for my girls, 3 daughter. I am now thinking about getting something Iowa State and Cancer Awareness together. My Mother-in-law passed away in May of cancer and she was a huge Iowa State fan. I just keep thinking about getting one in her honor but not sure how to combine the two. Any help or advice would be great. Also good luck with any decision you make.
