Basically what we are witnessing is the formation of college football monopolies. This whole thing is completely market driven and as other posters have pointed out there is no way for the NCAA to slow this down (even if they wanted to). Government will have to step in at some point and set some parameters otherwise the rich will keep getting richer while the ISU's of the world will see continual "wage cuts" and marginalization.
If this was professional sports, they could do whatever the hell they want, but these are (mostly) public, non-profit institutions which theoretically are not in the football business to turn a buck. Someone needs to call them out...and if not the NCAA then I'm fine with the government stepping up to the plate.

At one person per 5 feet, it will take 1000 people per mile.
Ya won't get it the first day or week, but when ya do, when ya have an overhead video, it will be on ESPN and the 6:00 news, and then...........
