Re: now UCONN to ACC?
Wow. UCONN is one of the only reasons I would be ok with the Big East..

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
Well, I guess UConn to the ACC would prevent a move by Texas/Texas Tech to the ACC... but this also lines up with Texas joining the Pac-12 with the Sooners maybe?
This is getting more interesting by the hour...

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
Logical move from the ACC. UCONN basketball would add to an already stellar league and give the conference another school in the northeast

There is no stability anymore if you're not in a conference called the B1G, SEC or Pac-whatever. The ACC is the 4th power conference, but could still lose teams to the SEC or Big 10 if invites are ever extended.

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
They were said to be one of the two teams that the ACC would expand to if it did expand, so it makes sense that they are pushing for it to happen now rather than later, since the Big East makes the Big XII look stable and with a prosperous future right now.

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
I think UConn to the ACC would be good for ISU. Fill that league up with east coast. It takes away Big 10 expansion candidates which means that either A) ISU moves higher on Big 10 expansion radar, or B) a fifth AQ league remains between Big 12 and Big East leftovers.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -

Not if they raised their exit penalties, like it was reported they did at the same time it was reported Pitt\Syracuse were coming.

Yes, it's a lot. But if the b10 came calling, I doubt it would cause schools to turn them down. It is less than what a&m is supposed to pay the b12. Doesn't seem to bother them.

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
And to think this could all have been avoided if UT had not wanted to be the Yankees of college football.

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
We need Rutgers to get and accept the invite next.
/fingers crossed

Re: now UCONN to ACC?
FSU will not be in the SEC. The SEC will not be inviting within its footprint.

/fingers crossed Yes, exactly. If we have any outside shot at getting into the B1G, let's hope for Rutgers to the ACC and Mizzou to the SEC. Wouldn't hurt to have Louisville in the ACC either.
