HELP
First of all congratulations on a great game,we were on the road going to Ohio for james game and checked into our hotel to see a quarter and a half.
Secondly, can anyone explain to me what the hell is going on with the various schools changing their affiliation? I truely don't understand whay is going on and where ISU will end up. Actually we need another team out east to watch, Penn State sucks. Anyway if anyone can explain what is going on i would appreciate it.
Thirdly, isn't it about time to start talking about extended coach Rhoads contract, you don't want to lose him. Thanks for any help.
To my friends, james team continues to lose he is doing ok he is passing at 65% but really getting beat up.

Re: HELP
Basically, it all stems from the situation in the Big 12. We were on the verge of disaster last year with Nebraska and Colorado leaving until ESPN stepped in with a contract guaranteeing the remaining 10 teams a much more luxurious TV contract.
This year, for whatever reason, Texas A&M picks up their ball and high tails it to the SEC... why? Probably tired of living under Texas' shadow.
So, A&M is all but gone, fine, we'll just replace them... when reports suddenly trickle in with Oklahoma saying "Good idea, we want out as well!"... Thus far a chain of events have been set into motion that has led to other conferences attempting to match the SEC's expansion. The ACC is attempting to expand because they're afraid of losing Clemson and Florida State to the SEC.
Essentially what looks like is happening is the formation of four, 16-team superconferences, although the Big Ten does not seem keen on expanding beyond their current 12. It's all about money and larger TV contracts, and very little to do with academics (although, again, Big Ten would be the lone exception, requiring that all of their members have or have had AAU status.)

Re: HELP
The current big 12 will stay together or ISU will try to sneak into the B1G, OR......ok we will not talk about the other possibilities because it is not positive.

Re: HELP
Or you could sum it up by saying the big boys in the conference never learned how to play nice together and they are leaving and taking their toys with them.

Re: HELP
One way to look at it:
1) Look at your checking account.
2) Wish it were bigger
3) Do whatever it takes to make it bigger.
4) Find out that your actions affect other people
5) From there, either care or don't care, but make more money.
