You would think Missouri would rather be in the Big Ten than the SEC.. They would be clobbered in the SEC..
The Big Ten is my number one choice, but I just do not think they want us since they have Iowa and the state of Iowa is so small.
I think a conference of former Big East and Big 12 schools mixed with a Conf USA team or two(?) would be our best bet. I think that would really be a nice conference for basketball.. A real nice conference. I just do not think it would be a BCS elgible conference for football... Us, Baylor, Kansas, Kanas State, Lousiville(if they do not go to the ACC/SEC), Georgetown, Villanova, St. John's, Cincinnati, Marquette, Sourthern Florida, Seton Hall, Providence, and DePaul and maybe a Memphis from the Conf USA would be a really attractive basketball conference.. Football? Only Baylor, ourselves, Kansas, Kansas State, Lousiville, Cincy, Memphis, and Southern Florida have a football team. Football is where I am worried.. I also think Kanas will prob go to the Big Ten, although I do not think they would go without ugly little step sister Kansas State..

It's funny how things change. When the Big 12 was formed there was complaining that the footprint of the conference had become too big - clear from South Texas to Iowa, Nebraska and Colorado. Then the Big 10 now stretched from Pensylvania to Nebraska. Then an Atlantic coast conference stretched way past the Mississippi. Now there is talk of a conference from the N and S Atlantic to possibly even Utah.

Well, in that vain, nothing says southeast like College Station, Texas.
Nothing says Pacific Coast like Stillwater, Oklahoma.

I personally am fed up with the whole situation. Gordon Gecko was in a movie, people.
I hope they all go broke.
