Great experience at UConn..
We had a great time at the UConn game. Lots of grassy tailgating area and a decent stadium. We arrived three and a half hours before game time with no tailgate supplies. We walked around and were invited in to tailgate with some UConn fans. Many of the "Fans" there really don't care much about UConn, they come to tailgate and go into the game if they feel like it. They supplied food, drinks etc and we had a blast. The stadium is a lot smaller than JT, with seating under 40,000. It wasn't full at all. First ISU play could have been a TD, but under thrown by Jantz. The air was heavy and humid, and passes and kicks were short. (I'm sure he wished he had it back)
Game was exciting, fans OK to us and it was great to get the win. All in all a good experience. We did not run into any of the hassels others mentioned. (Referees were horrible)

You might be the only one that had a good time, which is good. Kind of a pain to travel all that way (if you did) and have a bad experience.

I was wondering why Mahoney wasn't putting anything into the end zone on kick offs.

I heard CPR on an interview today and he said he thought that Jantz had a sore shoulder, after watching him pass throughout the first quarter, and Jantz said that he didn't but that the ball seemed wet. I lived in Deleware for about 6 months when I was a teen and in the fall at night it gets real "Clammy" to say the least. I bet this was affecting his ability to grip the ball. It did seem like alot of his throws were lofty as if he couldn't grip it.

Contrary to what you might think. The ball would travel further in humid air. Humid air is less dense than dry air.
Air's main component is N2 with an atomic weight of ~28 atomic mass units.
If you add a bunch of moisture (H20) to a parcel of air, the average atomic mass drops because H20 has an atomic weight of ~16 amu.
Hence, there would be less resistance against the ball as you add more h20 to the atmosphere.
