Props to Courtney Messingham
Let's hear it for our receivers coach. Coach Messingham has helped these young men to begin to realize their potential. They are playing complete games this year - executing their assignments whether it be running routes, catching, going after the ball or blocking. Performance is markedly improved, and a good share of the credit must go to the coach. Great job, coach!

With all due respect it helps that the WR's have a QB that can actually throw the ball this year. Credit Steele just as much as Messingham.

Re: Props to Courtney Messingham
Agree we have a better QB but I've can't remember a time when our recievers blocked this well. They also run better routes and keep moving until play is done. Excellent job by Courtney Messingham.

The WRs have really stepped up their play in every aspect. Steele doesn't have anything to do with them them blocking better and running better routes.
I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system. -

Looking at this year and last makes me wonder if we need a new TEs coach?

I was gonna say, Messingham had Cattlett and Franklin and then Franklin and Hammerschmidt to work with. This year it's Hammerschmidt and some walk-ons.

And the other side to that is Lenz has gotten better every year, Reynolds is finally healthy, Horne is new this year, and I don't really think Darks looks significantly better than last year.

Darks has looked much better this year. He was good his first year, then hit a 2 year slump in part due to injuries. He may not have the catch numbers this year, but he has made some very difficult and clutch catches and has kept himself moving when a play breaks down and Steele is on the move. He has played great.
Ane yes, Messingham deserves most of the credit for our improved WR play. To be honest, I wasn't too happy when CPR hired him because he didn't seem too have the pedigree of some of the other coaches.....I am VERY happy to admit I was wrong. I never should have doubted CPR - he made an excellent hire and Messingham has done a GREAT job.
