That's what kind of irks me about UT. If they don't play along they would rather sink the conference, all the rivalries, leave some of the schools in the lurch whose backs they stepped on to build their program up, then concede some power and money to the group that makes the conference stronger and better for everyone in it.

In a conference as spread out as one including BYU and Louisville/West Virginia would be, regional alignment makes sense.

Why not? 2 games makes more money, plus Stoops was just talking about the challenges of the Pac 16. Are they willingly to take the competition in the Pac 16, but not the Big 12?

And if they aren't separated, we'll just be back to the same old "awesome south, crap north" situation. Balance is key as it creates competition.

Michigan and Ohio State are separated. Why would they want to play each other twice? Seeing OU and Texas in the conference championship every year would be a huge money grab for the Big XII.
