What I want to see: our first comlete game. Sure, we have had to perform 4th quarter comebacks in each of the first 3 games. Why? Turnovers & poor play (particularly in the 1st half), yet we have still won.
KO mauls Okafor/Jeffcoat (like he did in the Iowa game this year), offense protects the ball, passing is accurate, DL controls LOS (like last year - UT OL is not much different) & pressures QB, front 7 controls run (& especially the running QB they rotate), DBs make prevent big plays & come up with a couple of their own (picks).
Do this, we win by 3 touchdowns. Do this, the powers that be will really take note. ISU suddenly isn't some novelty, aw, they're perennially bad and they've had a good start - good for them!
Would really like to just hand their arses to them. Agree with everything. I'd happily take another 1-point nailbiter, but NOTHING would be sweeter than to absolutely pound them.
Living in Austin and seeing in person the extravagance of the UT program and the smugness of their alums, the Horns have replaced the Hawks as #1 on my **** list.

It doesn't matter if Texas is over looking us or not. Were gonna beat their rookie ***** either way.

We need to crush them at the beginning of both halves. Texas only has 2 drives this year of 80 yards or more that resulted in points. We need to play the field position game and make McCoy drive the lenght of the field to score. If we don't turn the ball over and stuff their running game we win easily.

I say we tap the brakes and take this 1 week at a time. Let's focus on this week's bye.

ISU's other home games are OSU and A&M, two teams that are quite a bit better then Texas this year. You would get more posts if you were an ISU fan.
I was referring to last season when we played UT the week after a 0-52 drubbing in Norman.
Before the ISU/UT game Brown explained to his team that they needed to beat us worse than OU did. That is not respect. That is an expectation of being able to completely dominate an opponent. You don't change that attitude over night and if you're UT why would you? They will always have more money and talent than us. In no way does Brown express respect for us to his team in fact I'm sure it's quite the opposite. They will come to Ames expecting to show up, get back on track w/ a win and move on to a "real game", OU.
I like our chances.

I like our chances. I know that the UT coaches are not taking this game lightly. The players on the other hand who knows what goes on in the minds of 18 year old boys. We'll I know what was going on in my mind when I was 18 but that is a different story.

Will be interesting

Don't kid yourself this is very much just ESPN Longhorn style. I have the network and it's an exact ESPN replica. It's operated with ESPN staff, analysts, etc. It's even in HD. I don't agree with the network existance necessarily, but if the network absolutely needs to exist, than I am happy to have it. It's another sports channel that has relevance to ISU and will have plenty of football and basketball programming. I will and have watched it. Much of it will be repetitive programming, but it will nice to watch replays of ISU beating Texas this season, and yes, recruits will be able to see the replays of ISU beating Texas again.

Will be interesting You see, this was what I was worried about. Their offense has been stagnant. Just hoping we can put a drive together without any turnovers.
