Watching this West Va/LSU game on ABC right now makes me want ISU's stadium enclosed ASAP!! That place definitely has a big time feel and it's only got a capacity of 60k! The basic structure is the exact same as Jack Trice's, just enclosed. ISU could do the exact same thing.

So you are donating the first $10 mil to make it happen. We have other priorities. Let's fill the Jack all season and next year, then consider it.

There are other, manageable improvements that could be implemented immediately. Like ribbon boards along the sidelines! I think it was mentioned in some other threads, anyone know why they haven't happened yet?

well keep buying season tickets, and having games continue to have 54,000 people + and I am sure JP will answer the call. That is all we can do as fans to get this done...

I think if we keep our attendance up like it has been the first 2 games and how its supposed to be for Texas, there could be a need for it.

Question about WVU's stadium. Under their scoerboard in one endzone the stand are cut back and high. It looks like it's about the right size for a basketball court. What's the deal with that?

1) Winning more games per year to create excitement = goal 1
2) Selling 55,000 Tickets consistently at ISU even IF hill side a high percentage = second goal
3) Increasing the averarge revenue per ticket should be the third goal which they seem to be doing
4) Using the increase in revenue from the first 3 goals to lock up Rhoads would be the fourth goal.
5) If there is unfulfilled demand after meeting the first 4 goals AND confidence that ISU lands well in conference realignment - build it. But I think this is 5+ years away

Once the Tier 1 contract gets negotiated & signed (2015-2016) and we feel confident in our conference members' commitment we will see movement IMO.

Because it's a high 6-figure cost, if not low 7-figure.

Interesting. They'd look awesome and increase ad space. I just wonder if we'll see something like this long before we see a SEZ project.

I'd love to see the stadium built into a horseshoe. After the near conference meltdown, and the pathetic showing for Nov football games, I think it'll be 5-10 years before we see a stadium expansion.

Start selling booze in the stadium and you'll get more money and more fans that need a liquid sweater.
