Opening Line: Texas (-9)

We discussed this on the call-in show last Thursday. I had Texas at -7. A little higher than I anticipated.

Well, I have picked our opponent to cover each game this season, so it looks like I will have to take Texas again. I don't really care if I lose credits as long as the Clones keep on doing what they are doing.

I still think ISU wins...

That spread is very high. Everybody is buying into this "Texas is back" crap. They beat two awful teams in Rice and UCLA and slipped by a very average BYU team.

Yeah - keep in mind that the spread isn't where they think the score will be, it is where they think they can get the betting even on both sides. The betting is going to heavily favor Texas because they are Texas and they beat up on a really bad UCLA team. And I'd guess the smart money is probably going to stay away from this one.

I think the feeling is that Texas just has too much talent to loose to ISU, and they they are improving at a high rate every week with all of the young players. On paper it is hard to argue with the talent part, but they had way better players last year and the clone man handled them.

It doesn't matter to me, since I don't bet on the games, and I am sure that none of the ISU players are not scared of TX after last year.
