I think when the south end zone gets bowled in I'd like to see a similar set up to Nebby where they have ground level seating/ party seating which would be close to the field. I think those would be SWEET!

    I WAS THERE!!!!!!

The first sign this is going to get done will be when they raise tickets prices for the current SEZ seats and they still sell out. With the new scoreboard those tickets are worth more than they were last year. Those prices will be going up and they should.

I went to the Oklahoma Missouri game and they charge $77 for every non-student seat in the place.
That is not in any way realistic. Interest is peaking...need to grab hold of it. I wish someone would win the lottery right about now.

I'm not pro BSEZ or against but simple economics would dictate that if there are very few tickets available then the prices of those tickets would increase.

There is something to that with the ability to sell tickets as well. At a certain critical mass, ticket sales fuel more season ticket sales as more buy purely to resell for a profit and more who would just buy a couple single tickets then buy season tickets knowing they can recoup some of their investment by selling games they cannot make.

Don't everyone get excited, I'm sure Texas has accounted for 10,000 of those tickets!

If we keep selling tickets the SEZ will get done... and early season ticket commitments are key. Of course attendance goes hand in hand with winning but large crowds help wins and so goes the cycle. Cyclone fans have shown that committment over the years by buying tickets to sports with consistently winning teams. The momentum is building in both football and basketball; the best thing we can do is buy tickets and show up. I'm excited to be there this weekend! Go State!

Re: Iowa State - Texas Game Sold Out - Going to break a record

SEZ are GOOD SEATS to watch football. There is no way they should sell so many potential spaces on those hillsides for as little as they do. The lousy seats in the corners are the ones the AD could sell to budding fans at a discount. The grass seats are so much a comparative value to seats inside the stadium that ISU sells out SRO seating before seats inside the stadium. It's crazy.

Proper price management of those potential seats could have resulted in paying for a bowled in end zone long ago.

1.) A few more years of winning, and donor will step up.
2.) bowling in the end zone can keep the capacity the same, but increase avg. Seat price, OR, it could both increase capacity and average seat price - depends on how you plan it, how much you bite off at once.
3.) I imagine that the AD is looking for the conference to show stability, and pay off the scoreboard and FOF for a couple years before biting off another huge chunk of cash, barring "1.)"
4.) selling out, and not selling every ticket you could, is leaving $ on the table... Even if it means having empty seats in Nov.
5.) and most important of all, Jamie Pollard gets all this, and more. He's a very intelligent guy.
