How soon do we play NEB, COL or TAM in a bowl game? How about UI too?
Who would you think we play the soonest in a bowl game? I like to think we would play Texas A&M or Nebraska in a bowl game scenario much sooner than Colorado or Iowa. We would probably never play Iowa unless its a national Championship scenario or one of the BCS bowl games where our top ten ranking makes us inevitable to play against one another.
What do you all think?

Colorado. They are closer to our level and would be more likely to be in a bowl we'd be in.

I'd say Nebraska and Iowa is a possibility just because there's a lot of B1G and Big XII bowl matchups.

However, I don't think that happens especially because we play already every year. So unless our top ten ranking mandates it, I don't think it will ever happen.

Unless its somehow not allowed I'm sure the people picking the bowls would love it because they'd get a ton of fans at the game.

Going by that schedule, I don't think we ever will. I don't see aTm being in the top 5 of the SEC any time soon, and Colorad would have to be in the top 25% of the Pac-12 which is just as unlikely. Iowa has a patsy schedule so they are almost guaranteed to win 8+ games in a weak big 10. Unless ISU continues to improve and play one of those teams in a BCS bowl, my bet we'll never see any of them in a bowl.

Iowa and ISU won't be playing in a bowl game as long as they are playing each other in the regular season. A bowl doesn't need both of those teams to get attendance. Each team travels well so they might as well split them up and benefit two bowls.

Doesn't each bowl just pick for itself and not worry about the attendance of other bowl games. They each are trying to make as much money for themselves as possible. That's why you see a lot of stupid matchups.

You also have to consider that Iowa/Iowa State boawl game would have very little TV audience. the whole state would be at the game.
I'm interested to see if the bowl tie ins all change up in the near future. There may not be a Big East soon and the conferences that are getting bigger will want more games.

The matchup would be awesome though. Iowa couldn't claim we won because it was our superbowl because it definitely should be for both teams.
