Steele does throw the ball downfield for grabs just like in juco, but is thast so bad when we spent years throawing three yards downfield??? I thionk we need to take chances to have more success. Bret Favre is a good comparison although Steele is much faster. Did someone say he was 4.5 40?
When you and Clones21 were saying things like "if Jantz starts, we'll be great, but if anyone else starts we're screwed" were just ********, because if Jantz hadn't won the job, it would mean he wasn't very good, therefore, magically inserting him in the line up wouldn't have changed a damn thing.
Trying to get back on topic... I think our Offensive game plan has benefited from the improved D as another pointed out earlier. You rely on short passes and running if you want to control the clock. Now, if you have a D that has "depth", and stronger, you can couple that with a QB that has a bit more accuracy, wa la, you can open up the big hit plays.
I don't believe the stats are a reflection on our past QBs as much as the improvement of Wally's boys and their depth, strength and conditioning.
It was his flowing locks, wasn't it?Quote:
