Steele Jantz interceptions at CCSF??
I have looked for the number of picks Jantz threw last year at CCSF, but I haven't been able to find that info. I found yards, TD's, etc., but not INT's.
I am just curious how his rough start with turnovers this year at ISU compares to how he turned the ball over in JUCO.
Does anyone have that info on him?

Re: Steele Jantz interceptions at CCSF??
I think I remember reading somewhere that he didn't throw that many last year at CCSF. What we have to understand as fans is that INT's is what comes with having a gunslinger at QB. Steele likes to throw and likes to throw into coverage at times. During his career he will probaby throw alot of TD's, but probably alot of INT's also. Kind of like Brett Favre.

Turnovers? No, they're gifts. He's just giving the other team a chance to win.

So, it looks to me like he has nearly met his yearly INT quota. I would be thrilled to see him only have one more the rest of this year!! -

It looks like Jantz and Horne were shredding poor defensive backfields. The Northern California Community College Conference is probably not a bastion of defense.
Their old team is averaging 60+ points per game.

Re: Steele Jantz interceptions at CCSF??
Last year (during the regular season), Steele Jantz had two games where he threw two or more interceptions. Each of those games was followed by Steele having a "monster" game. UNI (3 interceptions) - Iowa..... UConn (3 interceptions) - Texas (?).

Re: Steele Jantz interceptions at CCSF??
IMO, the UCONN Ints were a case of him going, "Oh, he's open........oh ****, this is BCS football." That's why I don't worry. I think he has underestimated the competition slightly simply in terms of athleticism. That's what I see anyway. He was likely told about the Iowa defense and was extra careful but the other two maybe he just didn't give the respect he should have.

Yeah, they were somewhat poor decisions.. but they really ended up poorly because he under threw those passes.

Re: Steele Jantz interceptions at CCSF??
Two of his picks were balls that the intended receiver could have had. Especially the one in the UNI game that Money had in his hands and bobbled(fairly sure it was at the goal line too). Also the one that hit the TE in the UCONN game and was pic2ed when he couldnt get a handle on it.

Jantz is fine. I'd rather have a risky gunslinger than a Tiller.

Re: Steele Jantz interceptions at CCSF??
Believe, Jantz may have some bad stats in the INT but really to doubt a player of that caliber given his performance makes me wonder. How do you doubtour best qb making us 3 and 0?
