Jarvis West
This is one guy that I thought would have had a bigger role thus far than he has.
Of course, with Lenz, Reynolds, Darks, and Horne, it's tough to get on the field, but I really thought we'd see some WR screens to Jarvis more.
What other players did you think were going to be playing more than they are thus far? Another one I figured might see more playing time was Jevohn Miller. I'm sure he's probably playing a lot of special teams, but I figured we'd see him at LB quite a bit too.

Re: Jarvis West
I was excited to see West too. Thought he would get more looks than he has.
But I take that as a good thing in a way. It is nice that the upperclassmen are stepping it up this year and puts less pressure on the younger guys. Think it will help develop the guys more physically and help them get better adjusted to the speed. Still think west might have a bit harder time with BigXII corners on him. Needs to get bigger to help. Good thing he is quick. Would like to see him get in space against texas.

Re: Jarvis West
Maybe they are keeping West a secret until conference play. He does get playing time, but I believe Steele has only thrown his way once.

Re: Jarvis West
Maybe he's just not as good as everybody else that's seen the field
-
Re: Jarvis West
He had one, if not two wide open TD passes in the UNI game that Jantz flat out missed. Kid can fly, now if someone can just hit when hes open, we will be good to go.

Re: Jarvis West
Isn't he a freshman?? Give him some time. Jevohn Miller is also a freshman, a true freshman. They'll both contribute a lot eventually.
-
Re: Jarvis West
I think he'd see a lot more action if our recievers hadn't stepped up so much already. Won't get a lot of balls thrown ur way with Lenz and Reynolds playing the way they are.

Re: Jarvis West
Its hard to get non starters playing time when your losing every game until the 4th quarter
-
Re: Jarvis West
He has played in every game, but right now he appears to be our #5 WR so he probably won't see a ton of balls thrown his way, especially with all the slot types ahead of him (Lenz, Horne, Darks). Should see alot of time as a Soph though.

Re: Jarvis West
I'm not surprised he hasn't seen the field a lot at WR. However, I was hoping he would return some kicks on kickoffs

Re: Jarvis West
He was a guy I had hopes for coming into the year, mainly because the upperclassman had been less than spectacular prior to this year. Money, Lenz, Darks and Horne are making it tough for the young guys to get involved. I'd love to see the young guys have an impact but Jr's and Sr's keeping them off the field is a good problem to have.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan. -
Re: Jarvis West
I'd like to see him out there more too. Mostly because of his sweet dreads tho, they're freakin sweet! -
Re: Jarvis West
Relax. Be patient. They've had a package for him every week. Be glad we have not had to use it yet......
