When do we get a look at Jared Barnett?

If a running back, linebacker, corner, safety, WR, TE, DL or OL had played as poorly in first half as Steele did they would have been subbed. Why such a love fest for Jantz? Barnett should have gotten a chance. Richardson is RS and Roach is coming in next yr. Who is to say Steele is not anything more than a one hit wonder? His play certainly doesn't lead me to believe he is the long term answer.

Clearly is not ready to be on the field otherwise the staff would have pulled Jantz in the last few minutes with the number of injuries we have seen tonight.

He must not be ready for the field even in scrub time.

Edit:
*He will not replace Jantz. I'm referring ONLY to possible scrub time.

Not about sky falling as much as this game is over. For me Jantz pee'd his chance away again in a game that got out of hand and we should have seen the backup. And with the talent in the wings I don't like the message the coaching staff continues to send to Steele. He simply can not play this poorly week in week out and be given the ball.

Lol at this thread. Barnett fell down taking a knee against UCONN. Steele is the best option.

HAHA, Jantz needs time to be in there. it's obvious. If this were next year, yes, the guy should get a shot, but we still have 8 games left and Jantz needs time on the field.

I don't care about him getting a shot, I'm sure Steele is our starter until he graduates. However, I would like Barnett to get some game time in case Steele ever has an injury.

Well I officially will name you the pessimest of the year. My god seriously! You are calling into question a guy who has led us back from 3 fourth quarter deficets and now to you he is a one trick pony. He'll get no better than when he showed up according to you. You are no better than one of those idiots who wanted Tiller over Arnaud. If the backup was better than the starter, they would play. It's that simple.
The only argument you have is why not give him a shot? Well sir, the kid is not ready. He damn near fumbled the ball on his one snap in the UCONN game. Quit acting like the only problem is the coaches not sending a message. They will take care of Steele. You take care of whatever pathetic stuff you have left in this world cause apparently Iowa State Football is too much for you.

I am surprised we didn't see him doing mop up duty. With all the injuries I don't know why Rhoads kept the first string in there.

As I said before, Jantz needs time in real game. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was bashing you, just giving my 2 cents on why we didn't see him. Jantz has a lot of improving yet to do that comes by seeing a Texas style Defense. If it were later in the year or next year Barnett should have been in. At this point though, Jantz needs more time to mature. That's just my thoughts on why he was still in the game.

Sorry, I know the web makes it sounds like a slam against another poster, but that was not my intention.
