As for LJ, he waved his arm pretty high and hard, which would make me think it wasn't a collar bone. From the looks of it, my gut tells me he'll be alright. You just want to take every precaution possible when it comes to the spinal cord. A misdiagnosis could be somebody's life. It's not worth risking for a game.

I agree with you on LJ and think they are taking every precaution with him. If it does end up to be "just" a concussion and everything else checks out, how long is he out? 2 week maybe as a best case? I would think he's out for BU for sure even under best case scenario. Hopefully he's able to get back on the field and complete his senior season and this isn't the last chance we had to cheer him on as a cyclone. He's a stand up guy and I hope for the best.

As much precaution is supposedly being taken for concussions, it sure seems like a lot of players are playing less than a week after sustaining the injury. Off the top of my head, Vick and the BYU WR whose name slips my mind. These things are serious, and if LJ had a concussion I would be mildly disappointed to see him on the field next week.

neck better than concussion since obviously it wasn't broke or he wouldn't be going to treatment. I bet he plays this week.

Just like with other injuries, there are varying degrees of secerity for concussions. I had one my senior year in my last game that I got midway through the second quarter and didn't even remember the rest of the quarter, but most of them were "minor" concussions where, in the 80's, they would have thought nothing about.

It doesn't sound like concussion according the his tweets, its a neck injury.

Sounds bad just because it is a neck injury but more than likely it is better than a concussion.

Thankful he is doing ok and it wasn't serious head/neck injury.
