Looks like too many people here drinking Kool aid. They came out flat...yes...because they weren't mentally prepared for the game. Look at the threads complaining about the actions of the players...that goes with this entitlement. There was no reason to come out flat for this game.
You're totally right - it's all about this entitlement culture. What do you expect from a country chock-full of welfare queens and lazy layabout hippies. We need to resurrect Ronald Reagan and bring him in to clean this team up.

3-1 now. Baylor is our focus, move forward just like our team is.
The question Redline is whether YOU even watched the game. We started the UT game the same way we have started every game this year. It wasn't UT and it wasn't because we won last year. You're wrong so just grow up. This team played hard and if it wasn't for the mistakes would have been right in the game with even a chance to win. We lost because of the mistakes not because of any sense of entitlement.
Actually I think it was a sense of entitlement...
How do I know?
Oh yeah, the 2010 Texas Longhorns and the 5-7 record.
Last year the Texas Longhorns went into every game expecting to win - ISU came down to Austin and beat Texas at home. Not a good feeling. After that game and during the off season, ISU fans talked a lot of trash on college football forums saying ISU's football program was on the rise and ISU would beat Texas again - and by a larger margin.
I don't think so!

No. Oklahoma last year was coming out flat. Colorado was coming out flat. This was different. There was energy. There was emotion. We just made too many mistakes. The team wasn't uninterested. That is what coming out flat means. This wasn't that.
The players came out last night like they were entitled a win. They believed because we beat them in their house last year, that they could just show up and win. CPR needs to clean this up ASAP.
I can only assume you interviewed the players and were told this? Absolutely one of the most ridiculous statements I've read today. Beyond absurd.
A "sense of entitlement" is the last way I would describe what happened last night. I don't know of anybody that thought we could just show up and win, so I don't know what this "sense of entitlement" has to do with this game or this team. Everybody I heard interviewed on the tv and radio, or talked to agreed we had to cut the turnovers and penalties and if we did we would have a good chance to win. We also were not flat. We turned the ball over 3 times inside our own 30 in the first quarter and our defense gave up 10 points. That's not flat. First quarter turnovers has been our trend this year and it stinks, but that doesn't mean we're "flat". Turnovers and penalties killed us last night. We got away with it against UNI, Iowa and UConn but you can't do that against a team the caliber of Texas and expect to win.
