97-98 48-54 UNI
Eustachy
98-99 57-61 UNI
99-00 73-41 ISU
00-01 69-55 ISU
01-02 88-69 ISU
02-03 71-64 ISU
Morgan
03-04 57-61 UNI
04-05 82-99 UNI
05-06 68-61 ISU
McDoormat (thx for that UNI)
06-07 57-70 UNI
07-08 48-61 UNI
08-09 71-66 ISU
09-10 60-63 UNI
Hoiberg
10-11 54-60 UNI
So UNI was 2-5 against Floyd + Eustachy and didn't play ISU during two of Floyd's best seasons. UNI is 6-2 since Eustachy "left".
How about NCAA appearances?
ISU: 4 1st round, 4 2nd round, 2 Sweet 16s, 1 Elite Eight, 1 Final Four = 12 appearances
UNI: 4 1st round, 1 2nd round, 1 Sweet 16 = 6 appearances.
So, I'll say it again, yes UNI has had the upper hand in the last half-decade, but that isn't exactly a fair sample-size when you're talking about overall success of the programs.

Oh, please. You're taking this way too seriously. Sorry my Panther rugby gals got your panties in a wad.

By the same token, my fiance went to UNI, is actually a Panther fan, and I threw on purple and went with her to Kinnick in '09 to root against the Hawkeyes. If we have a Thursday opener next year, we're going to head up to Madison to cheer for UNI at Camp Randall too. I'm also hoping to go to Madison if ISU keeps their Thursday date with Tulsa.

Good ******* job. No one gives a **** about UNI football comparatively to ISU or Iowa. Volleyball? Please. RUGBY? wait wait, not just rugby, women's rugby? LOL. And then you even bring in track? Wow. So tired of UNI fan's and their little brother/little man syndrome.

There is no question that ISU has been down for quite some time and that UNI has been building their program and gaining more respect. I think you see the same thing with both schools in football. ISU obviously has been down while UNI is building its program on its success. UNI is getting better recruits than before and is beginning to compete with "the big boys". Would they be competitive in a conference like the Big12 or the Big 10? Absolutely not. If they put their all into that one game are they capable of playing with those teams? That question has already been answered: Yes.

So tired of UNI fan's and their little brother/little man syndrome. Actually, I think ISU has the emotional complex. When we beat ISU in a sports competition, we're proud, sure. Just like when we beat any other BCS school. (LSU, KU, Iowa, Indiana, etc). We don't go around saying we belong in FBS, etc. We're satisfied with our FCS leadership position. But then ISU starts this emotional rant, ranging from the fabrication of some UNI/UI secret loyalty scam, or just general spewing about UNI sucking at everything. Methinks more than a few ISU fans are pretty insecure in their own skin. We don't get that kind of pissiness from Iowa. When we beat them or nearly beat them, they basically say "good job" and move on. Come on ISU, be a big brother we can look up to, not a sniveling, snarky, petty teenager.

ISU has been down for 6 years by the objective measure of post-season play. It has seemed like an eternity, but considering we've seen two coaches crash and burn in that time, it's not as bad as it could be. UNI has improved dramatically in that time and my hats go off to Jacobson for what he has done. I wonder what direction that program would be headed had ISU not opened that door for him? We'll never know, but it seems we did them quite a favor.

You cannot even begin to compare UNI's success in football to ISU's until they make the jump to the FBS level. The fact that ISU has been able to maintain a FBS program (in a BCS conference, no less) trumps anything UNI can hope to achieve. End of story.
