Secondary

Everyone talks about how strong our secondary is and rightfully so. We have some of the best cover corners we've had in years and I've been pleasantly surprised by our safeties. Now to my question.

Why has it been seemingly a year since we've had an INT? I realize some of it is Wally's style to not give up big plays and keep everything in front of us, but it's pretty crazy to think that our only INT this year has come from a defensive lineman.

I miss the days of having ball hawking safeties like Paris and Moser.

Against Baylor you can't give up the deep ball at all. Wally had a good game plan of stopping the pass and forcing them to run, but they ran all over us.

That said, I want more interceptions, too. James Franklin is hardly dangerous, so we should be able to make something happen.

We've several near picks this year from the safeties but none have been able to hang on to the ball. I can think of one last night that Jacques Washington just dropped.

There was that one and then another that they just couldn't get to in time.
