i live in columbia. want to help out some clones with info.

yes, tailgating is limited. public tailgating is permitted in parking ramps (near hospital and on campus) but i'm fairly certain no open fires are allowed in the ramps. There is a open area for the public but it fills up quickly.

missouri is known for lax alcohol rules in general. the state does not have an open container law (meaning passengers in a vehicle can drink, among other things) but many counties do have open container laws. just be smart.

i have tickets with the visitor section. not really happy with the location. SW corner of the stadium.

traffic is a mess in the town during game day. be prepared.
