Jake Knott Shoulder Injury

I played my senior hs fb season after dislocating my shoulder. Dr told me to sit out and rehab or it would keep happening...well I continued to play, wrapped it in special braces, tape, etc but managed to pop it out 1-2 times every game. It's true the more it happens the easier it goes back in but it hurts like heck and it affected my play having less mobility. A year later I had surgery cause it got so loose I would dislocate it turning off the alarm clock in the morning. I'm sure knott is tougher than me but no way it doesn't affect his play.

I'm someone who played competitive baseball for many o' years. Including some in Division III. Thats nothing big but!! Injuries do happen. I "popped" my shoulder out all the time in high school and went to the doctor. He told me it was no big deal.
3 years later, I was having my first of 3 surgeries. The more I popped it out, the more it hurt. Even after 3 surgeries, I can still pop it out. No pain now but I'm not using it like I used to. The best part about Knott is that he's not throwing anything around except bodies.

did the same thing going up for a rebound in a basketball game and its the most intense pain i've ever felt...keeps happening every now and then when the positioning is right

kids a beast for playing through it

Not trying to be an alarmist, but I have friends that are connected to Jake's group of friends. Word is they will be opting for surgery, effectively ending his season.

If this is true...sigh.

Friends of friends of Jake mean nothing without pictures. I thought everyone knew that was the rule. If I saw Jake in a sling, I would probably take a picture on my cell. Maybe not, that's a bit weird.

while surgery means sad things for ISU football, you have to look at what is best for Jake, Ruin your arm and never play again to finish out your senior season, or get it fixed and play in the pros.

Yep, he's got a future in the pros that is more important than the rest of this season.
