Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
beuker should throw a pass and not let our kickers kick the ball. i think we would have more success with beuker trying to throw a pass for a try at a td then letting our field goal kickers try for a field goal.
our kickers are pathetic...

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
What about the old drop kick? Can we give that a shot? Or we could punt on 3rd down and catch them off guard...

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
Mahoney has the yips of some sort. We should let him boot the 40+ plus yarders that are hard enough that he doesn't give a **** if he misses them. Depending on Guyer's performance in practice and our position on the field, we should go for or let him kick the others...

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
We have 6 Place Kickers on the roster...you would think that at least one of those guys could make a damn PAT! I say open up the competition to any of those guys, who cares if they're a walk on or whatever, we just need some consistency.

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
Let's go for two every time. We could really destroy another team's confidence if we got good at it.

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
They should let Money or Lenz try a few. They're probably our most gifted all-around athletes on the team and I'm sure they've kicked a few in their days just messing around. Guys like that can go on feel alone and are much tougher mentally.
At this point, what have you got to lose?

Arceo, I really wanna see another Muskie in an Iowa State uni trot out there. Miss watching Frere play.

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
Reggie Shoemake from the 70's. He has elgibility left and so do I.

Re: Who Should Kick Field Goals/PAT's
My vote is no more kicking with these guys. 4th down every single time from now on until you see some ungodly improvement in practice that shows a valid reason to let the kicker back on the field.

My roomate played with him at iowa central and he claims he was pretty good, I mean he actually made a few PAT's, but of course he doesn't see him at isu practices everyday. But seriously one of the 6 kickers on the roster should be able to make a gotdam PAT! There playing at the D1 level and that's there only job. Its just embarrassing to watch
