Re: Time to question the defense
The defense is awful and that is just a big surprise to me. I was expecting that the defense would continue to make strides from last season and that the offense may struggle since they lost Arnaud & Robinson. I know that the whole team has been bad, but hopefully we can turn things around....

Re: Time to question the defense
this year i think we needed 6 non conference games to make it to a bowl game. we look really bad overall.

Re: Time to question the defense
defense never leaves the field. MIZZ first two possessions were on the 50 and our 40, what do you expect.

Can you imagine what Oklahoma and Oklahoma St. will do to us? I am going to start drinking right now so I am in the necessary frame of mind. -

We haven't played any of the big boys this year. OU, OSU, and aTm are going to kill us.

Re: Time to question the defense
The defense didn't play nearly that bad against Texas or Baylor. Texas didn't do anything in the second half of our game and Baylor is more of a pick your poison. We tried to stop the passing game and it left the run open and they cashed in.
But this game really has me bothered. Missouri has ran the ball ALL season! We come out and play a defense that looked like they were trying to stop the pass...I just don't get it? -

You might be right but it's always darkest before dawn. The last two years when the majority of 'fans' stopped believed in the team they went out and beat Nebraska and Texas. Never say never.

When we didn't do that and they gashed us on the first series, I was sure we'd see some adjustments, but then we didn't even try to stop them. Color me confused.

Re: Time to question the defense
I just don't understand. We have a great secondary, great linebackers, and a defensive coordinator with a national title under his belt. Is our defensive line just that bad? That's the only thing I can think of.

Any chance we get the legalization of any other substances before those games? I have a feeling Liquor isn't going to do it for me.
