Herman is not a bad coach

He just has no players that can run plays. So far I have seen. Quit trying to run the ball, quit throwing screen passes, Quit with the bubble screens. So what else do you want him to try?
Face it our players are not as good as everyone elses players. Neither are Iowa's or UConns.
Our best receiver just started playing receiver his junior year of college. Our first string running back is out.
I actually feel bad for Herman. He is trying everything and nothing is working. It's better than when Steve Brickey just kept trying the same non working plays over and over and over. Then Coach Cotton tried the same thing over and over and over. It's not coaching. It's our lack of talent.

So add, Quit throwing the ball down the line of scrimmage as another play. Let's keep a list of things we should quit doing. At the end of the game we should have every play covered.

We do not know how to run screens. I put that on the coaching. If your players aren't doing it right, teach them how to do it right, if they can't do it, don't run it. That's really the only play I have a big issue with. it's the only play that hurts us more than helps us and we run it way too often. Our receivers are never in the right spot to block and keep the D off of the receiver. That is coaching.

He's had 3 years to get players in here he needs. If he can't recruit the guys for his system, then he needs to change his system. It's obvious so far this year, that he can't coach them up to the task, so it's on him to do something different.

Our best receiver is Reynolds. Just started playing receiver. Our qb is Jantz. His second year of playing QB and now he has to do it in the big 12. Not the coach. It's crappy players. Just like every freakin year at Iowa State.

Watch an OU game sometime. They kill teams with that. That ran that play probably 20 times against us last year.
