Kansas State has not been to Ames since 2007
It will be 5 years next season before they return a visit to Ames. I know we played two games at Arrowhead, but why are they not making the trip to Ames this season? Now with the change in schedules again coming, after the departure of A&M, it will be interesting to see if we have to head to Manhattan again next season :skeptical:. This is usually a toss up game every year and could likely cost us a W this season.

I'm pretty sure we were the "home" team at arrowhead last year.
Also, doesn't KU have to come here two years in a row?

My guess is that TCU replaces A&M spot for spot in the Big 12 schedule next year.
Which means that the rest of our collective schedules won't be messed with.
It also means TCU will likely be my road trip game next year.

No, we are the only ones who have any problems. The world is out to get us. Just having this conversation is causing extra penalty flags on Saturday.

No I think we were the away team last year at arrowhead because we wore the away jerseys I'm pretty sure. Also Kansas is coming here for the second year in a row so I guess thats just the way it goes with the new scheduling. I don't think it really matters where we play KSU this year because they would beat us in Ames this year anyways.

I saw an article on ESPN awhile ago with a quote from Neinas saying that they would rework the schedules next year, TCU won't just take A&M's schedule. We could get screwed next year on the schedule too.

I don't think we were. They had all pre game KSU stuff.

I think Paul Rhoads should send us an email apologizing as well. If he doesn't he should fired along with Jamie Pollard. :jimlad:

QFT :swoon:
Re: Kansas State has not been to Ames since 2007
We were the home team at Arrowhead in 2009 and KSU was the home team in 2010.

From all indications, it appears that the newly found "Big 12 rivalry weekend" which takes place in the final week of the Big 12 slate will want to pit TCU and Baylor, and than probably Texas and Tech. With that, pretty much the entire schedule needs to be changed, as its not as easy as just switching those game that weekend.

If you think this is going to be a toss up game this year, you have been hiding under a rock for the past 4 weeks.
Re: Kansas State has not been to Ames since 2007
kansas state is a winnable game for us IF
1. we beat KU AND Tech
2. Kansas state will likely start the season 7-0 but then lose 4 in a row before we play them.
They might pack it in if they go from #14 or something and 7-0 to getting pounded 4 straight weeks. Add in the fact that we would be 5-6 and looking for bowl eligibility.
the cards are still on the table for us.

Fifteen yard personal foul at start of game. The parked aTm van full of mason jars is vile and disgusting and pure SEC. The penalty will be accessed at the start of the game.

KSU will also be in a position where another win simply doesn't matter that much. They will be out of contention for the conference title but already bowl eligible.
Not that they would mail it in, but we'd simply be playing for a lot more than they would.
