Re: Missouri just finished conference
Time for Deaton to be leveraged by the league. He is costing a lot of people a lot of money with his dithering. Other schools are wasting money while he sits on the pot.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Missouri just finished conference
This is typical of Missouri. Approximately 150 years ago they couldn't decide if they were a slave state or a free state.

Re: Missouri just finished conference
My guess is the regional football game in KC will be with Arkansas or Nebraska.

I can't really see Nebraska going for a yearly rivalry in KC with MU either. Possible, but not likely. Big 10 is going to 9 league games in a few years. Why would they want to schedule an annual 10th BCS game in KC with MU? Nebraska always plays a weak non-con schedule, and I can't see them going for MU unless its home-home.

Re: Missouri just finished conference
it would be cool if KU, KSU and ISU got together and hosted a KC tourney for hoops - a saturday triple header on ESPN with good opponents for all three teams?

If you're going to have a neutral site rivalry game, it has to be with one of your closest rivals. How about Missouri-South Carolina in KC every year. They'll be in the same division, so there will be a big rivalry that develops. Plus both are located in Columbia. It'll be the battle for Columbia in KC.

Big 12 Statement Regarding Missouri - Big 12 Conference - Official Athletic Site
"We look forward to discussing Missouri's future with the Big 12 Conference," said interim commissioner Chuck Neinas. "The school has been involved with the Big 12 and its predecessor conferences since 1907. It is propitious that the Big 12 Board of Directors has a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday. Obviously, Conference membership will be thoroughly discussed at that time."

LSU-Auburn-ZOU. The Tiger POD. Several national championships in that group.

Re: Missouri just finished conference
Bill Self at KU has made it very clear that the Jayhawks and the Tigers will not be playing anywhere if MU leaves the Big 12. It is a no win game for KU basketball anyway. I can see KSU agreeing to play MU in KC in basketball just to kick their butts again. KSU will not be playing MU in football by choice. Bill Snyder hates neutral site games and wants 3 home non conference games each season.
