band intro/gameday atmosphere

That band introduction was awesome! It is amazing the respect the marching band gets on the field now. There is a world of difference from when I was in band 10-15 years ago. We'd be performing pre-game show and the student section would be chanting for Cy to pick a fight with the other team's mascot. Now they student section is involved with the band.

Which leads me to the whole gameday atmosphere compared to just 10-15 years ago. Back then MAYBE 30,000 would have been at this game and half of those would seem to not be even paying attention to the game. Now with the scoreboard and other changes to the stadium (even a real grass field), the larger, louder crowd, it's a great gameday experience. Not to mention the team now would DESTROY the teams from back then.

It may not feel like it right now but the improvements in the football program over the years is incredible. Even though it was a frustrating loss, I left yesterday thinking that we are getting there. I for one am proud to be a Cyclone.

That highlight video is AWESOME. If anyone finds that online somewhere, I'd love to see it again.

Marched 2001-2004 and loved every minute of it, even the 2-10 season in 2003.

Back in my day we were exciting enough we didn't need an entrance video! We were just that good.

I really wish we would have had that sick entrance video back when I was in the band.

Every year, there are huge improvements to the GameDay Atmosphere. The new Score Board is awesome. I loved the Cyclone Warning - telling Aggie Fans to seek cover. It was great to see 51,000 at the game, the place was rockin.

Nothing compared to beginning of the Texas and Iowa game. Actually thought it was kind of quiet and dull in the beginning of Saturday's game compared to others this year.

The band video was fricking amazing. Really added to the atmosphere at JTS. I think there is a lonely island song describing what happened when I saw the new scoreboard for the first time and then saw that on it. Very well put together. Between the video and the new unis, I was almost a little bit jealous. The gameday atmosphere just keeps getting better and better.
