So its ok for a basketball coach to yell at the officials non stop?
That is why the comparison was made...

Then I heard about this coach name Tim Floyd. That guy would scream and throw his jacket off. Ohhh then this coach named Larry Eustachy that coached. Almost got kicked out of an elite 8 game. A player had to hold him back. Wow.... Crazy stuff huh... That would never fly here. How about this Bill Fennely guy... The girls on his team says he never stops yelling at them. Somehow they win.. Hard to believe.
I will say this every time a thread about "Fire Coach So and So" "We need an Apology" or something stupid..... Our fans are some of the worst in college sports. No knowledge of who we are, our history, no idea what type of person it takes to win here, no idea of anything, except the desire to beat Iowa. Good point. Please note that LE did get kicked out of that game and that Mike Nurse was just concerned that he was going to physically assault the ref. That was why he was holding him back at that point. Larry did know how to get his money's worth if he was drawing a T or getting ejected. He had every right to be ******. There wasn't another team that was going to touch that team in the final four. The joke officiating in those last few minutes could have very well cost him and ISU a national championship.

Re: Rockin' Rhoads
You can't let the refs just walk all over you because they will, plus the players hate it if you are getting screwed and the coach is just taking it. Anyone remember Wayne Morgan sitting there on his ***? You have to work these guys over, it is just part of it. If Rhoads sat there and did nothing peopel would be all over him just like the were on GMAC for "not getting a T." Different coaches have different approaches. PR is fine. It is like you guys have never seen a college football coach chew someones *** before. Happens every game.

I remember that like it was yesterday. Man, I loved LE as a coach. The pain of that loss lasted for days. LE was ALWAYS yelling at refs.

I wondered if the "no call" on the A&M's pass interference wasn't caused by Rhoads' tirade about the "call" on us. I think sometimes the refs slack off a little and don't throw the flag after a play where they probably shouldn't have thrown a flag and got reamed by coach. Unfortunately, we had the ball when the compensation took place so we got hit twice.

You can't disagree with perfection . . perfect minds, perfect decisions, and never retaliatory.

Now, to go back a few weeks to him not letting players be interviewed. Here is why:
“It is an awesome feeling to know that he is fighting for you,” said Barnett. “To know that he sees what you see and that he does think that you’re being cheated in some sort. That is a great feeling. Coach Rhoads is a great guy and he is always going to fight for us.”
Even though we know Barnett is just voicing his feelings and appreciation for his coach, not necessarily accusing the refs of cheating, you can't let your players go on TV and say things that could be easily interpreted as saying that the refs are cheating.

Do not go gentle...into that good night.
Old age should burn and rage...at close of day.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught...and sang the sun in flight and learned too late...
they grieved it on its way.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men near death who see with blinding sight.
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height.
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
RAGE! RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT!
Paul Rhoads, what does that poem mean to you?
It means...I don't take $#&^ from no one.
“I heard that Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation will each make $5 million for this season’s ‘Jersey Shore.’ It just goes to show that if you put your mind to something and work hard, you’re wasting your time.” -- Jimmy Fallon -

So WHO-13 pays more attention to what's on the Hawkeye Nation site than they do to Cyclone Fanatic... should have known...
