Cory Morrissey
Pretty impressive for a true freshman. He talks about wanting to come to ISU in this! Would love to have this kid at ISU. Reminds me of Shawn Moorhead. Cory Morrissey - Yahoo! Sports

He played very well in the Shrine game this summer. He looks like Tarzan. If we can get him and he will fit into our scheme and he wants to be a Cyclone. GO GET HIM!!!!!

Re: Cory Morrissey
I'm confused. His profile says he doesn't graduate high school until 2012, yet it lists him at Iowa Western.

He is playing for Iowa Western. He played at Gilbert and graduated HS last year. I have heard ISU has a serious shot at him.
He looks more trim (even though he was huge in HS). Hope we get him.

Re: Cory Morrissey
He is only 17, was young for his class. I think ISU wanted him to mature a little and didn't offer him but want him after a year.... they are worried they will lose him after this year however.

I hope this doesn't end up being the biggest recruiting screw-up in ISU history. The kid is an ISU fan, grew up in Ames, and played with Rhoads son. He was by far and away the youngest kid in his class (should technically be a senior right now) but he works harder than anybody else, is a good student, and an even better kid. The bigger programs will come calling this year and I hope to hell he signs with ISU when its all said and done.

Re: Cory Morrissey
Agree arganbright2, I know they want him but I also know they were trying to get kids that can play now.... it was a risk and hopefully they still get him.

Could he even be a 4 to play 3 guy since he's only a true frosh this year, would he have 4 left?

Re: Cory Morrissey
I went to high school with Cory at Gilbert, and he's a great, hard working kid. And from what I know he REALLY wants to go to ISU so I'll be surprised if this doesn't work out for us...

Re: Cory Morrissey
BUT HE HAS NO STARS!!!!!!

Re: Cory Morrissey
ISU needs to get him now and offer him a scholarship
, what are they waiting for?

Re: Cory Morrissey
That would be great if he still has a redshirt year. Go get him CPR!
