I'm in Ankeny, have DirecTV. What channel is the game on tomorrow night? Thanks.

Thanks, Captain Smart A**. I did that, and it shows multiple FSN channels showing the game. That's why I asked about Ankeny specifically.

You know what gets older than somebody asking this question every week, is ********* that say what you say every time. There are many reasons why somebody can't confirm the channel that the game is on unless it's on ESPN(2) or FSN, but only one reason somebody would respond as you do.

What stinks for me is that I went through this crap with Dish Network, now I switch to DirecTv and have to go through it again. I'm sure it's my fault.

No, there's only one: stupidity.

Sorry. I love all my fellow Cyclone fans but if you can't find out in less than a minute what channel the game is on, you are too dumb to have DirecTV and probably too dumb to own a computer too.

Here is a good link as well. It's a little buried in their site. But you type in your Zip code and then provider and it lists the fox channels and what they will be showing.

If you don't have the sports pack it isn't that easy. DirecTV will allow you to record a game, then proceed to record nothing.

I've found that using the app on my iPhone, or last week on my EVO, from DirecTV. It will show grayed out listings if you don't subscribe to that channel, and bolded if you do get it.

If you don't have a smartphone that can get you the DirecTV app, then you have to rely on people that will actually help you, because DirectTV customer service won't. I just set it to record on channel 665 CSNCHD. You don't need the sports pack to get this out of Chicago. Since you stated you live in Ankeny, as I do, this should be your golden ticket to HD. There is a non-HD channel as well, but it lists as 665 on my phone.

Hopefully this helps, 'cause there are many on here that don't.

If you don't have the Sports Pack, those channels won't show up on your Guide if you set it to.......wait for it......CHANNELS I GET.

Look, I know it's not fool proof. But as someone else said, freaking click on a channel to see if you get it. There are truly chimps that can do that.
