So 1650 has been advertising that they are the home of the cyclones for the cedar valley. Yet, they have pre-empted the game for waterloo blackhawks several times this year. Aren't there requirements to play the games if they are an affiliate?

If both teams are playing at the same time, one team's broadcast (likely the Black Hawks) is broadcasted on 1650. 1250's signal isn't as strong as that of 1650. You basically have to be within the city limits of Cedar Falls to get it to come in.

At least that is what I find, having lived a couple miles west outside of Cedar Falls.
