This is Barnetts' team
I loved me some Jantz in the first 5 games ... but this team responds to Barnett. Impressive line play and near perfect reads by Barnett.
Add in White and we are seeing a very effective Offense. This team follows Barnetts lead. That makes it fun.

Re: This is Barnetts' team
We look like a totally different team with JB in.

Re: This is Barnetts' team
He did very well tonight. Hopefully he keeps it up and you're right. We look sharp! Go Clones!

God forbid we go into next year with two decent qb's on the team.

Also, did you hear the interview with his parents? They seem like really great people. I'm glad they made the drive to see this. Their son played very solidly today and they should be proud to have raised such a good man.

He ran all over TT but he still only passed around 50% im not jumping on the JB bandwagon yet I still think Steele is the better of the two.

There is more to the QB position than completion percentage. Barnett runs the zone read much better than Jantz did, and also runs just as effectively. Prior to this game Jantz's Comp% was 53.9% - I haven't seen yet exactly how Barnett did tonight. That being said, Barnett forced the ball to Reynolds several times while he was double covered and missed on a few other throws.
Last spring both my dad and I thought that the offense ran more smoothly with Barnett and just seemed to pick up yards even though Jantz looked to have greater potential. I think that Barnett will be the guy going forward, though he will make freshman mistakes yet this season. He will have to face OU, OSU and KSU still, three good-to-great defenses. I doubt we score 40+ points again this year, but I am feeling better about beating Kansas and then sneaking in a sixth win to go bowling.
And keep your head down, Jared, we need ya on the field. "No matter how many hours you study opponent films, there's only going to be eleven players on the other side of the line of scrimmage." - Sid Gillman

I really enjoyed the interview with Jared's dad. Seemed like a really nice and humble man, and you can see where Jared gets his demeanor.

Re: This is Barnetts' team
Not many 3 and outs with Barnett, but I put most of the blame on Herman. The zone read is money right now with Barnett. I think Jantz learning on the sideline will really benefit him. Barnett looks like he has been running this offense for ten years. I think Jantz will pick up some good habits from him, and push for the starting job next year, though I think it's Barnett's to lose.

Re: This is Barnetts' team
I think if Barnett keeps this up, you'll see Steele change positions.

Re: This is Barnetts' team
Or assume a Kerry Meier type role.

Re: This is Barnetts' team
O line likes to run the zone read also.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: This is Barnetts' team
Great game tonight outta Barnett. It'll be nice to see him win a game against a team that challenges him to throw the ball.
