KU = trap game
Last night was an obvious trap game after Texas Tech's big win over Oklahoma. The same can be said for this week's KU game. Although a lowly and less talented team, ISU cannot look past KU. The Cyclones need to start strong and not let their foot off the pedal. I'm a little leery of big heads after last night's big win.

Re: KU = trap game
How is it a trap game? We have a bye the next week.

Re: KU = trap game
We've gotten spanked the last 4 weeks before this.. I don't think we'll have big heads at all, just some beneficial confidence boosting. So in short.. no.

Re: KU = trap game
So Oklahoma got Texas Tech'd, then we Texas Tech'd Texas Tech, and now we are trying to avoid getting Texas Tech'd by Kansas.

I agree with you that it would be classic cyclones to come back and lose to kansas

Re: KU = trap game
All the talk has been how do we get to 6 wins, we need to always worry about the next game.

Re: KU = trap game
Hard to be a trap game when it's the only game for a couple weeks to focus on. C'mon man.

Re: KU = trap game
Maybe not exactly a "Trap" game, but I'm nervous for it as well. After Tech beat Okla last week I said it's huge for us because they will come in with big heads. I don't want our team to do the same thing. In coaching, I see it all the time. I don't want us to get too comfortable and come out flat next week.

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story. -
Re: KU = trap game
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I do think we beat Kansas because that is a pitiful excuse for a football team. (Who doesn't get more than 50 yards?) I'm nervous but I think we're 5-4 this time next week.

Re: KU = trap game
I'm usually a nervous nelly pessimistic type, but I think KU has called it a season. Not too worried about next week to be honest.

And that alone goes against the odds. If they don't stay focused (and win) that great upset is meaningless.

Re: KU = trap game
One only needs to watch the OU-KU game to see that kansas can be in the game if the other team decides to show up asleep at the wheel.
However, when teams show up, KU is extremely bad. If we give half the performance we gave yesterday, we walk away with an easy win.
