I love this kid. I love his poise, especially for a freshman. But the thing I worry A LITTLE about is arm strength, seems like that is the only thing he is missing. Anyone else see it? Maybe I am reading too much into it.
One thing I do know is we are gonna be 5 deep at qb next year, 4 deep after redshirting rohach. Tiller, Jantz, Barnett, Richardson, Rohach. I have loved what I have heard about Richardson, Tiller and Jantz I have seen, Barnett well, you all saw it last night, and Rohach was in a qb derby on espn. Looks like we are stacked at qb, may the best man win. Gone are the days of Brett Meyer not having a backup and Arnaud fighting it out with a kid who thinks he is better than he is and then cant start at Ohio for an option coach.
BTW thank god we have recruited so many tailbacks, also gone are the days of Stevie Hicks and thats it. We have 3 good tailbacks playing now with Nealy and Standard redshirting who are also billed to be the real deal. Add in Barkley as the change of pace and tough yardage back and we have a pretty nice stable. I loved Woody last night, he is a kid who does all the dirty work.
We need to continue to build depth at LB and secondary.
I'll give up the deep ball arm strength for short and mid range accuracy. He was the key to the win along with an incredible defensive effort. Wally had a great plan in place.

I am kinda curious on how far (and how much zip) he can put on the football, but he seems to be pretty accurate. Just looking at his arm size, though,he looks like he could be just a normal college kid walking around campus.I think we'll see him bulk up in the future.
I think as long as he gets his feet set and steps into it, he can make almost any throw. You just won't see him throwing deep balls off his back foot...
