Nevertheless, I will pray for snow and wind against Okie State. Every little bit can help. Remember how Tubberville complained about the cold last year when it dipped into the 50s?
Obviously, the Cowboys are saltier than TT, and further north, but if it takes a tornado to disrupt that offense, I'll take it!
Against KU, though, I hope the weather is nice, since the bad sort could actually be to their advantage.
I think the KU game will come in just shy of 50k.
The OSU game could be good if we win convincingly against KU next week.
If the weather is good maybe 47,000?
I, too, worry about it being a Friday game. Lots of people won't be able to make it if they live more than a couple hours away. Add in rain and cold if it happens and knowledge that OSU is nearly unbeatable and you can have some significant attendance dropoff. Maybe into the 30-35k range with actual butts-in-seats.
No need to make excuses for these people. Everyone in my usual group has had this day off since the date was first announced this Summer. If people don't show up for a prime-time game, especially if we are coming off back-to-back wins, than they are just not that interested in supporting ISU football. I know there will always be some people who have commitments or family things they can't get out of, but anything less than 40k for that game is a disgrace.
Ther is no reason there shouLd not be 50,000+ at the game Saturday, this team deserves it.... If u are coming bring a friend!!!!!
PACK THE JACK!!!!!!!!
I agree that less than 40k for that game is pathetic.
At the same time, I could see attendance for that game being a tougher sell. Probably colder, tougher time to get to, and that's a game where it's tough to find the Kool-Aid to predict a victory. I could see it being a problem.
At the same time, the only way that those magic moments happen is to win. If it's going to happen, why not be there to see it?
Not really making up excuses. These are real concerns for the casual fan and enter into his/her decision making process.
I hope like hell there's an energized packed house for the OSU game, on National TV, ESPECIALLY if the weather is crappy. I see that as a plus factor for our chances.
I agree with you, people SHOULD be up for the challenge and hope for another CPR miracle. It would be AWESOME if it happened, that's for damn sure!

Current sales are at 47,626.
Quote:
Additionally, the Cyclones have targeted an attendance of at least 50,000 for the Jayhawks. With four consecutive crowds of better than 50k this year, Iowa State needs to sell 2,374 additional tickets to the KU contest to reach that level for the fifth time (which would be a school record). ISU had four crowds of more than 50k in 1981 and 1982.
As far as weather goes it's looking more likely that it'll be a "warm"(its going to be November, so its a relative term) dry day. The models have trended away from a more powerful storm that really tapped into the Gulf of Mexico moisture and instead take a weaker, drier storm thru the Dakota's.
Will be a poor day for passing and kicking, however, as the winds should be quite strong.
