Weird that the kid is the 20th ranked TE and yet his only BCS offers are from ISU and USF. I wonder if he is kind of seen as a tweener for most schools between WR and TE.

(note: not trying to get into the stars/offers argument as you have to be pretty good to be the 20th ranked TE.)

I agree, I would love to have him. We need as many options in this offense as we can get. He may not be the biggest TE, but if he can get open and catch the ball, we need him.

It's crazy to think that we're already ~6 commits away from being full. Culkin would be a HUGE add to this class. I think he brings a combination of size and ability we don't have on the roster right now.

I'd like to see CPR finish this off with Culkin, LB Schyler Miles, WR Alex Jackson, CB Kevin Peterson, a JUCO CB, and another big body for the OL.

I thought I saw somewhere that Culkin goes to a pretty small high school and they don't get as much attention traditionally as some of the larger schools in the area.

That may explain why he has put up 18 TD on the year.

I'm fine with tweeners in this offense. Look how productive our run-blocking style TEs have been this year. Contrast that with a guy like Egnew from Missouri who only weighs about 240.
