Do we go bowling?
personally i say not a chance in h#ll. the good news is that every time people doubt cpr, he surprises them with an unexpected win. bad news is we have to play 3 legit top 15 teams in a row with two of them on the road. k-state made me a believer last night on the road against okie st. imo they should move up in the rankings after that loss.
do you truly believe we will get one more W? if you wouldn't put money on it, you don't truly believe it. so if you wouldn't put down some cash you should be voting "no" as the question is not about wishing and hoping.
Edit:
let's say hypothetically you have $1000 and for whatever reason you HAVE to lay it down on either yes or no. which do you pick

I put yes. so if you HAD to lay down $50 on one or the other you would lay it on "yes?" perhaps i should have posed the question that way...maybe i will.

Re: Do we go bowling?
I know this will shock many people on here, but I voted "yes".
I don't think it's likely, and the odds are not in our favor, but I still have some hope. Somehow I think Rhoads will pull one of these out.
If we played in the Big 10 we'd probably get 8 wins pretty easily.

If we played in the Big 10 we'd probably get 8 wins pretty easily. that pains my soul daily. i believe this too. i don't think there is a team in the little 10 we couldn't hang with. i don't think we are anywhere close to the oklahoma teams though. ohio st is down. mich is down. nebraska is overhyped (as always). mich st. is good not great. that conference is turning into the big east in football. slowly slipping away.

Re: Do we go bowling?
I figure we have about 33% chance of making a bowl. It will be tough. Oklahoma and Okie State would be major upsets. K-State is our best chance. But we have to play some of our best ball of the season in all cases. And need some breaks.

I think somehow we do it.

Re: Do we go bowling?
after watching OSU and KSU duke it out, I'm less hopeful than I was a week ago

Re: Do we go bowling?
There's always a chance...you never know which team is going to "look ahead" in their schedule or have a bad day of play or God knows what. It's a tough shot and the odds are definitely not in our favor, but no one knows...that's what keeps us interested.
I voted "Yes."

Man york you dont put a positive spin on anything. Dont think I have ever read a positive post from you. You have to be kidding yourself if you dont think we treat next Friday as a bowl game.

Re: Do we go bowling?
I agree with the statement that after watching last night's game my hopes are down. I think it may sound crazy, but I honestly think the way that OU has been playing at home may be our best chance of the three. I will still be in Manhattan hoping for the best, but think KSU looks legit. I hate to even begin to doubt Paul Rhoads though.

Re: Do we go bowling?
I actually think our best shot is in two weeks against OSU. Home game, senior night, and likely cold and crappy weather...plus an extra week for us to get healthy and ready. OSU's defense is not impressive especially against the run. Get some TO's and run the ball effectively and we have shot.

Re: Do we go bowling?
We get both Oklahoma schools one game before Bedlam (OSU has a bye week).
I know a lot of people are excited for the OSU game especially since there are some intangibles: Friday night game, cold night, etc. Others think we will be able to beat a KSU team that could be on a 4 game losing streak.
My feelings? I have had OU in Norman circled on my calendar since the beginning of the season. The only kink in my prediction is that Texas Tech already broke their winning streak at home.
Either way, I'm not betting against CPR with 3 games remaining. Sure, it happened last season. Let's just avoid any game end disasters like Nebraska last season that emotionally destroyed our team.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -

Okie State gives up 461 yards/game and 28 pts/game. Okie State also threw a pick 6, fumbled in the redzone and muffed a punt or something.

If if ands and buts were candy and nuts, you two would have a Merry ******* Christmas.
ISU isn't in the Big Ten, and ISU would be doing right about how Iowa is doing. So yeah, maybe 8 wins, but not "pretty easily" by any stretch of the imagination.
That being said, I'll be at the Okie State game, so I hope to God it's a good game, and/or a win. Storming the field in celebration of bowl eligibility would be nice. Also, even though KSU did run with Okie State, they still gave up 600 yards of offense, 52 points, and missed out on 4 turnovers and squandered a +20 minute time differential.
KSU is the next good chance at a win, but...
I could actually see an upset at Oklahoma. I'm sorry, but if you're THAT good, there is no reason why you should lose, at home, to an extremely average Texas Tech. I mean, Tech has given up 700 yards RUSHING over the last two games. You mean to tell me that OU just had an off night that got them into a 31-7 hole against the Raiders?
Either way, 3 shots at 6, get it done.
