Hmm, in unrelated news, Kirk Ferentz has been hired on by the program as a special adviser on criminal issues. One anonymous official was quoted as saying "when you are dealing with this many young people, inevitably somebody will screw up and beat up a cop, steal thousands via ATM fraud, or gang rape one of our female athletes. Having a proven professional like Kirk on the staff to sweep these issues under the rug and keep these players on the field on gameday will be a valuable resource for our program."

The Albert Gary robbery thing stems from a June 19 incident where a group was approached by two people who frisked them and displayed a BB gun. Nothing was taken at the time.

This incident with Gary took place at 2:26 a.m. A little later that morning ISU RB DeVondrick Nealy was cited by ISU police. A BB gun was found on Nealy and he was cited for harassment of a public official.
