When OSU played TT it looked pretty windy there and it did not seem to have much effect.
I think the overall scoring in our KU game was certainly held down by the wind. There are just certain passes you probably aren't going to throw in certain situations (with wind or without). I think that makes it easier for defensive coaches to shade away from those areas, and key on the more likely ones. That should help our cause.

I've read a couple places where people have said that Weeden throws a really tight spiral and really spins the ball off his hand, so the wind doesn't really affect his throws as much, especially when throwing directly into a headwind. This probably means the deep ball is still going to be in play for them no matter which direction they are headed.
Can't say the same for Barnett, so we might be limited in our passing game when going into the wind.
Also, accuweather shows winds during the day at SSW 17mph, gusts up to 37mph. Overnight it shows SSE 7mph, gusts to 13mph, so I guess it's just a matter of when that wind starts to die down.
EDIT: looking at the hourly forecast, they show winds of 8mph SSE at 7pm, so it might not be all that breezy come kickoff.
It was windy during the KU game, and our offense struggled to do much of anything. It was windy during the OSU/TT game, and OSU put up 66 points. Again, the only chance we have against OSU is to keep up with them. Id prefer perfect weather.

30 mph winds at JTS are like hurricane force winds. Winds affect JTS more than any other stadium in college football. The winds may have been blowing in Lubbock, but that is nothing like JTS.Quote:
