    ISU Football Trivia

    Drake was favored but ISU defeated Drake by a score of 7-6, what year and how did Drake score 6 points?

    Here is a guess: Iowa State actually had a touchback, but they awarded Drake points instead of giving ISU the ball.

    That's better than anything I could come up with.

    It has to be something to do with a defunct rule or some sort of off-the-field situation (what that would be, I have no clue)

    Close: The attached article explains an old rule about safeties. Then you kept possesion after a safety, so you ran 3 plays and on 4th down you ran back to your end zone and gave a gift safety and you get the ball on the 20. ISU did this 3 times to win the game.
