They tried this a few years ago with cardinal towels. They gave them out at the first game of the season and told us to bring them to each game. Obviously, it didn't catch on
It wouldn't cost Iowa State a lot of money. In Steelers country, the "Terrible Towel" is sold at all sorts of sporting goods stores, heck, even gas stations carry them . They typically cost $5-10 or so. Better yet, all the proceeds (after manufacturing costs) go to charity.
I think that Iowa State fans would be willing to buy some gold and cardinal "All In" towels, especially if the "profit" went to a good Iowa charity. I know I would, and I'd be there every game possible twirling it like a madman.
The charity idea is great but first I would like to see the money go to the SEZ.

The cardinal towels aren't as noticable as the yellow ones. Plus, these towels will always be attached to the Biggest Win In School History!

I agree about the SEZ project, but, as a Steeler Fan, I think the Terrible Towel means more to people, in part, because it's not just another commercial way for the team or the NFL to make a buck.
As and aside, as I write this, I also am asking myself, "Why the **** are people crazy enough to revere a yellow piece of terrycloth?"

That was part of the initial surge of enthusiasm after hiring Chizik. This would be part of an upsurge in enthusiasm caused by a winning coach. There's that difference, which could possibly produce a different result.

Plus if the fans started bring towels, it wouldn't feel like the school is forcing it upon us.
Love this! What size frame is that? I want to get my towel and ticket in one ASAP.
The glass is something like 12x12, I cut the towel to fit because if I tried to bunch it up the back of the frame wouldnt go in. Hobby Lobby has very cheap frames all sizes, but remember their closed on Sundays.
