CPR's Name Getting Tossed Around in Phoenix

FWIW - Phoenix sports talk radio is talking up CPR's name as a possible replacement to the Arizona State job - which to my knowledge is not even open right now. Lose to your in-state rival down there and forget about it!

My buddy put the phone up to the radio and I heard it myself.

Yikes - Let's get this guy's contract extended quickly, please!!

ASU already has a quality head FB coach in Dennis Erickson. Wishful thinking by the fan base.

Dennis Erickson has said it is his last year. Still won't get CPR but they have an opening.

Would a move to ASU be that much of a jump in quality? I know ASU has had more success than we have had, historically, but do they offer enough improvement in prestige to be a strong draw for potential coaches (aside from money offered)? CPR just doesn't strike me as a "Pac 12 guy."

Erickson has had a trainwreck of a season at ASU.... he might be on his way out the door. Zona already ****canned Stoops so they are looking for a coach currently. That being said I would be shocked if CPR considered either one of those jobs.

Arizona State...Arizona...doesn't matter...not going to happen. These teams and teams with the same mentality are foolin' themselves if they think they can have any coach in America, especially one that is already coaching in a major conference. I'd give them a shot at a current head coach in the Big East or the MWC...maybe.

Not worried about either of those openings.

As long as Pollard gives CPR the things he needs to keep the program on the upswing, CPR will stay.

I know most people here don't agree with me. But he WILL go somewhere. Not soon. And definitely not Arizona. But somewhere, someday.

ASU could easily be looking for a new head coach soon. They've faded HARD since a good start to the year. Erickson has done NOTHING there since that 10-3 season in 07 with players he didn't recruit.
