I noticed above that someone mentioned the public tailgating lots are grass, not sure how good they are with water and drainage but you might want to prepare for some pretty good mud by the end of the game.
Showers should begin overnight tonight and continue through the morning, tapering off during the afternoon but total rainfall likely on the order of 1-1.5" of a cold rain (see image)
OK, so I was kidding. There is no visitor's parking lot. The manure spreaders only run on the farms. The parking lots are NOT part of the farms. Kick-off is at 11:30 AM and some of you want to start tailgating 6 hours before? Seriously, enjoy the tailgating, the game, and take in some great food and drink in Aggieville after the game.
Oh, you cannot insult the typical K-State fan by using farm type insults. They are very proud of the school's agriculture and engineering heritage.
Tailgating in Ames starts 6 hrs prior to kick, period. For the Iowa and KU games this year, there were a lot of people out tailgating at 5AM. Just how things are done here.

For lots of us.. Tailgaiting starts at the same time.. Early. 6 hours is NOT much tailgate time.
